Vegas! I forgot to post this forever ago.

Last weekend was really eventful. Max did a great job on the car ride down to Vegas. We were stuck in traffic so it took a little longer than usual to get there. The baby cried the past thirty minutes before we got to the strip, but I couldn't blame him. He was so excited to see everyone, and so were they to see him. We spent a lot of time eating out and eating out some more. man I'm totally not use to that anymore. We took the baby to the strip and hung out mostly at the Venetian and of course the mall! If Jake's not around I know it's my time to to shop without anyone asking me "when are we leaving?". Max got to go swimming with with Aunti WaWa and uncle Nathan. Also He and uncle Jason enjoyed watching new episodes of Jersey Shore. Jason let him play with my phone and max somehow dialed 911. That was fun explaining to them that the screaming child in the background wasn't injured or sick. Max did extremely well on the way home and was so excited to see Jake. We even left early on Sunday to get there.

This week has been totally crazy. I have three tests this week and one more this weekend. Yesterday Erinn and Patrick stopped by while they were in town and we went out to dinner. it was good to see them and little Mya. The two kids had fun together. At least Max did. I think Mya was ready to go so max would leave her alone.

5K

Saturday I ran my first 5 K. I usually go running a couple of times a week, just to change up my work out routine, not because I love it. But I was determined to do some kind of marathon, even the shortest one out there. I got started about 5 minutes later than the rest of the runners, but that was nice cause i didn't want to run around anyone. The important part was that I finished without stopping. I don't think I've ever run that long in my life. Now I can check that off my list. Max has been growing like crazy. His hair is getting so long, I'm not sure if we should try to cut it just yet. his top teeth are starting to come in so he takes any chance he can get to bite on to something. This includes my toes and ankles. I have to keep them on the couch so he doesn't attack me.

Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day weekend was a much needed break. We had been in school for two weeks, but it was nice to have a little time together during the day and night. On that Friday we went to Garred and Jessica's wedding. Jake's friend who has taken all our pictures over the past two 1/2 years finally tied the knot. It was a cute little wedding next to the mountain side at a garden on the way to Park City. It had a pretty waterfall and lots of places to take pictures. Max was all decked out in his tie and white shirt, which didn't stay clean for long. but we had fun, it was extremely cold but a beautiful wedding.
On Labor Day we drove down to Provo to climb Y Mountain. We had planned on doing it in the Fall to avoid the heat, but it was so nice and cool that day that it just worked out. However, we were still extremely hot from climbing the mountain side. I didn't realize how long it would take to do it, but it was worth it. Max was extremely happy the whole time. I think he enjoyed watching us work so hard. Like always we finished the weekend off with lots of homework and of course shopping. Jake got his new television that I promised him. The deal was if he got this scholarship that he applied for he could get the new t.v. And he did. Small t.v., big t.v., it's all the same to me!

School Starts

So I already posted something today, but to my surprise I found out there are a few people who read this i.e. Grandmothers. So I will strive to keep it as updated as possible. Jake and I both started school this week. I have class on Mondays and Wednesdays at 8 A.M. and Jake has an early morning class (among others) at 7 A.M. Monday through Thursday. Once school started our lives got a little more crazy. I am so greatful for the two ladies who watch max while
I'm at my hearing science class. But it's not like I really want to be there. It was a crazy week and we were both dead tired when night came, but I enjoy the busy schedules. It helps me to set other lofty goals to improve myself. However, I don't think Jake enjoys waking up at 6:10 every morning. Sometimes I wish I could just take all my classes on campus, but at this moment that is next to impossible. I have three other classes that are online, and one of them is four credits, so needless to say the next 3-4 months will be a bit stressful.

I Forgot to write about the second half of our trip which was spent in North Bend (the Oregon Coast, and California). I realize now just how much driving we did! It was a long trip.....but we have already been planning our 2011 trip, the question is where shall we go? We got to go to lots of beaches on the coast, and Max and Grandpa Ralph enjoyed a canoe ride together. He was a little scared at first but he was a champ. I finally got to experience the beautiful Redwoods, another check off my list and Crater Lake. As we were driving up the mountain I started to loose my enthusiasm, but by the time we got there and we witnessed the beauty of this attraction completely made by nature, I stood in awe. After making it home, things went back to normal, however, Jacob and I were reminded that school starts again soon.

Yesterday was Pioneer day. We got to spend a lot of family time together. We took Max swimming at Laura and Nathan's pool. It's so much more fun to go when you have a little one. We also went to Red Butte gardens for the first time. It was pretty, but after walking around for 5 minutes I think we were all ready to leave. They had a cute little park for kids that was designed just for them. That would make it worth it to buy a membership for when Milian gets older.

Our Family Trip

A lot has changed since Father's Day. First we moved to a different two bedroom apartment. They closed down our old apartment because of some minor renovations that had to be done. However, the move went by smoothly. Laura helped watch Max while Nathan and Jacob moved everything over. Juli came over and helped me clean our old apartment. This was good since she is so good at it. Last Wednesday we left for our family trip to the great Northwest. after a long thirteen hour drive we arrived in Vancouver and I finally met Grandma and Grandpa Muchmore. Then we were off to Aunt Dody and Uncle Tom's house where they graciously took us in for a couple of nights. It was nice to see them after so many years. They made us fresh halibut, it was amazing! Caitlin and Nathan's wedding was beautiful and once again I was reminded about how important and beautiful a temple sealing is. On July 3rd, we went out to Catipillar island and spent the day with the Muchmores. I can't deny that I wasn't a little nervous about getting on a small boat with a 6 month old, but we survived. Max got to spend a little time in the water with Grandpa Ralph. Unfortunately the weather would stay warm for only small intervals and then return to a cool temperature for the majority of the time. We have taken some pictures but I will not be able to post them until we return home! Happy 4th of July!

Father's Day Weekend!

Max has made a new discovery.....his feet. He loves to sit and touch them now. Since Ashley, Jake's little sister arrived, we have been running around all over the place. Last Friday we went to the Hogle Zoo and since went touring around Park City and the Salt Lake City Farmer's Market. There were so many people I don't think Ashley enjoyed it too much. But I was able to find Basil plants for just a dollar. As you can see Max Loved the zoo, it was a good time for him to take a nice long nap. Today we went and visited "This is the place heritage Park", Ashley claimed she had never been there before. It's been a fun and crazy weekend, but this coming week we have to get ready for our move to the new apartment.
