I haven't been really good at keeping up our blog, however, this year we have made new goals for everymonth and they will all focus on a christ like attribute. This month is diligence, so I guess I should update our journal! This semseter is hectic. Jake is Taking 18 credits and working full time....poor guy. But I admire his committment and excitement to get more time in school. I'm only taking 12 credit hours this semester, to avoid the crazy stress I had last fall. Although my classes are demanding, my goal is to get straight A's this semster. I'm taking an upperdivision Social Sciences writing class, Acoustics of Speech and Hearing, Medical Speech Language Path, and Family studies.
I quit my job a little while ago. I've been looking for the past 2 weeks, and have recieved lots of call backs, but nothing seems to work with my schedule. But I know I will find something soon. Quiting my job not only was a blessing for me, but my family as well. My Dad was hospitalized last week and has needed someone around to help him out, so with all the extra time on my hands I've been doing my best to serve him in any way, and Jake who has come down with a cold and an awful cough. When he's sick, not only doe sit affect him, but me as well! He likes to be babied and take advantage of his weakened condition.
We are planning lots of activities this semester. We're taking a Friday night Institute Class for married couples and am planning lots of trips for the future. Its not set in stone, but we are planning a trip to Las Vegas during Spring Break to chill and visit some friends. Also, we are flying to Oregon in May before Summer semester starts to Visit the Brooks'. It will be my first trip to Oregon so I'm way excited.
