I Forgot to write about the second half of our trip which was spent in North Bend (the Oregon Coast, and California). I realize now just how much driving we did! It was a long trip.....but we have already been planning our 2011 trip, the question is where shall we go? We got to go to lots of beaches on the coast, and Max and Grandpa Ralph enjoyed a canoe ride together. He was a little scared at first but he was a champ. I finally got to experience the beautiful Redwoods, another check off my list and Crater Lake. As we were driving up the mountain I started to loose my enthusiasm, but by the time we got there and we witnessed the beauty of this attraction completely made by nature, I stood in awe. After making it home, things went back to normal, however, Jacob and I were reminded that school starts again soon.

Yesterday was Pioneer day. We got to spend a lot of family time together. We took Max swimming at Laura and Nathan's pool. It's so much more fun to go when you have a little one. We also went to Red Butte gardens for the first time. It was pretty, but after walking around for 5 minutes I think we were all ready to leave. They had a cute little park for kids that was designed just for them. That would make it worth it to buy a membership for when Milian gets older.

Our Family Trip

A lot has changed since Father's Day. First we moved to a different two bedroom apartment. They closed down our old apartment because of some minor renovations that had to be done. However, the move went by smoothly. Laura helped watch Max while Nathan and Jacob moved everything over. Juli came over and helped me clean our old apartment. This was good since she is so good at it. Last Wednesday we left for our family trip to the great Northwest. after a long thirteen hour drive we arrived in Vancouver and I finally met Grandma and Grandpa Muchmore. Then we were off to Aunt Dody and Uncle Tom's house where they graciously took us in for a couple of nights. It was nice to see them after so many years. They made us fresh halibut, it was amazing! Caitlin and Nathan's wedding was beautiful and once again I was reminded about how important and beautiful a temple sealing is. On July 3rd, we went out to Catipillar island and spent the day with the Muchmores. I can't deny that I wasn't a little nervous about getting on a small boat with a 6 month old, but we survived. Max got to spend a little time in the water with Grandpa Ralph. Unfortunately the weather would stay warm for only small intervals and then return to a cool temperature for the majority of the time. We have taken some pictures but I will not be able to post them until we return home! Happy 4th of July!
